Recorded in Ghana and mostly edited and mapped there as well, this collection contains four West African harps and two xylophones. There's seperewa, kora, kamele ngoni, kafonu, balafon and a small xylophone. Most of the instruments were played and made by Don Afero, and the kafonu is an instrument of his own recent invention. You can find him at https://www.facebook.com/Afrojazzking and even buy one of his instruments in the "real" version, shipped internationally. The recording was done by Pj Daauthor who's been working with Karoryfer for a few years, since Gogodze Phu Vol I.

It all adds up to over 1800 samples and 1.3 GB. Every instrument has multiple articulations, with the kora having the most at six: long, short, long octave, short octave, tremolo, octave tremolo. Get it at https://karoryfer-samples.myshopify.com/products/nanfo for $19 until the end of June 2021, after that regular price is $39.

Indeed, a fun project, and it was totally worth tracking down somebody who had a seperewa and could bring it across the country. It doesn't have the range of a kora, but it has a very nice timbre.
