I found the setting to General MIDI on the Track. Works great ! Now I can work with Kontakt and Noire Piano.

I am using the Rapidcomposer Demo on a Mac OS 10.13.6 on an iMac. Latest public version.
Except for a few crashes it seems to be working well except I cannot see MIDI signals from RC to any MIDI instrument/DAW. I have things routed with the RC MIDI virtual out. I see those in the app I want to connect but none of the tracks seem to be sending MIDI note data that I can see. Is this a limitation of the Demo? Should I be able to play RC track 1/Channel 1 and have it play a Kontakt instrument set to receive that info?

Hi Jamie,
right, you need to use a "General MIDI" instrument for that.
There are 2 kinds of instruments:
- "General MIDI": does not generate audio, sends MIDI events to an output MIDI port
- Soundfont or VST instrument: these generate audio but do not send out MIDI events
