So I decided to sign up for a subscription to the Eventide plugin bundle. Seems like a good deal, even although I'm not super happy with iLok stuff.

After paying my $30 it seems that NOTHING works. The Gobbler2 installer installs ok, but does not launch. Every single plugin installer I download give me the same error "Installer broken, please delete" type thing.

Literally, no part of this bundle is functional on MacOS 11.4. There's no warnings on their site, no help, just a mess of horrible promo info and BS. I've requested a refund, but I am not at all hopeful.

No wonder people pirate these things. Has anyone got this stiff to work on 11.4?

I didn't realize Eventide uses Gobbler. I've amassed a bunch of Eventide plugins over the years, all linked to my iLok account, and I've never had an issue.

iLok is not bount to a certain OS.
Never any issue with iLok protected Eventide stuff.
PS: MacOS here...

he meant "bound", as in 'tied to'

I feel like your issues would be better directed directly to Gobbler

Ah right. Well yeah, it certainly is bound to defined versions of the OS. It wouldn’t work on OS7 for example.

Martin, can you tell me what version of OS you run? Is it 11.4?

Every piece of software is bound to operating systems.

I don't see the point of you asking this question here honestly when it seems like a tech support question for Gobbler. This is part of the reason you pay for software.

The point of asking the question was to see if anyone else was experiencing this issue and there for making it easier to diagnose if it’s a global problem or isolated to my system.

Also, it’s a Gobbler issue, nothing to do with iLok. I can’t even get that far.

Unless the plugins provided by Gobbler as special versions for its service, you can always download the installers from the Eventide website. As the others have said though, it would be best to contact Gobbler support for this issue.

I have a bunch of Eventide plugins installed and have never used Gobbler as far as I know.
