I just got a new PC today and am trying to set up Savi Host. I keep getting an error message that says:
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail".

Does anyone know how to remedy this?

Sounds as if there are problems with C++ Redistributable.

Did your new PC come with a pre-installed Windows?

Yes it came with Pre installed Win 10 home

You must install the redistributable that is mentioned on SAVIhost site.

I tried that but it is not available any more However, I did just install the latest C++ and it is launching but now say I need to rename SaviHost to the DLL name. I did this already and it isn't working. I have used savi for about 2 years on my previous pc. I think I am doing it correct but is isn't working.
What I did:
1) DL SaviHost64 and placed it into a New Folder called Savi Host.
2) Copied over all of my VST plugins from my old PC into the same folder as SaviHost.exe
3) Made a couple of copies of SaviHost.exe
4) Renamed one of the EXE files to the DLL name

It keeps saying I need to name it.

What am I doing wrong?

I DL a couple of C++ options. I also re-DL the Mcompressor and made sure that also installed SaviHost directly into my "VST" folder.

SaviHost not working on New PC I get a side by side error
