Hi,
I just purchased XT but I don't have time right now to wade trough the FR list, still I thought that I should add this post just in case.
<Preset Generator>
- Should have a "don't use selected" option for parameters to be randomized. Example: sometimes a synth has tons of parameters and one of them is main volume. This parameter is not so nice to randomize and it would be much quicker to use the option "don't use selected" and tick the volume instead of "use selected" and tick all the 100 other parameters except volume!
<Sequencer>
- Better loop recording of audio. Each new round of the loop should cut the audio at that place or put a marker or possibly assemble the takes in a take list from where you could audition all the takes and drag them into the main sequencer or as audio parts into the main XT view.
- Allow dragging of midi clips and audio clips from the sequencer into the main XT view for instant creation of a midi part or audio part.
- Allow dragging of midi clips from the sequencer into the arpeggiator module. It would use of course the first 128 steps of the clip and discard the rest if the clip is longer than that. This would allow quick arpeggio making from sections of your own songs. Especially usefull for compiling a live set.
<Chord>
- Stepsize, aka division, for the chord. Now it seems to default to 16.
- Holding right mouse button down and sweeping over the notes or velocity ranges should delete troughout the 'sweep'. Like it is now you need to single click each and every note/value which is tedious.
<Misc> <Folder settings>
- Give an option to make folder settings "relative". That is, the folders should not be dependent of c:\blahblah\, or D:\ but rather check the tree from the main Energy XT folder. So, basically a check is made where energy XT stand alone is and then the program would be smart enough to know that all plugins/presets/target folder are somewhere in this tree. Why? This would allow moving Energy XT very easily around from system to system to quickly work on many different computers. It would also allow to make a really effective backup CD of Energy XT and a bunch of presets/plugins/files.
Excellent Software Jorge!
