Now you're bringing back memories of Handsworth, Birmingham Blues Parties - huge basement rooms with some of the biggest, bloody indoor sound systems I've ever seen!

There was always a cultural issue in 1990s Birmingham with the word Gwan - 'slightly' different meanings to different friends....Jamaican Patois version I knew very well, but you had to be very careful with the Irish community where G'Wan had a very different direction of travel!
