I thought I'd just express my liking for this plugin, since I don't see it mentioned much, and it was really only by coincidence that I ended up buying it. To my ears the various types of saturation models are excellent, and highly configurable, and really do impart a kind of nonlinear sweetening, without smearing details. Which, for the price, is awesome.

I'd had the freebie relative of it installed for months and forgotten about it, then for some reason tried it again and realized it was very good. Finally bought SDRR and realized I should have gotten it long ago.

It seems to be what I needed in terms of adding toothy definition to aggressive bass sounds also, which was unexpected. Most distortion and saturation plugins I've tried get messy when pushed, but this gets charged and focused.

Yup, still one of my favourite plugins. Very useful parameter ranges, especially with the option to select the gain-staging reference level.

It's good, I agree. MJUC saturation stage is great as well and is a nice addition to (more bread and butter) SDRR. Both are quite unique, love them.

Maybe most people don't mention it because they just use it instead of talking about it at length? Like, I don't know. SDRR is such a classic at this point that hardly anybody bothers to talk about it these days. It's great, yes, we know.

I use SDRR and MJUC on all mixes, all Klanghelm plugins are my favorites, but I use SDRR and MJUC the most.

I've recently bought VUMT deluxe just to support Tony and his work, that being said, it's an awesome tool with some cool tricks up its sleeve too.

All in all, Klanghelm stuff is great, yes.

Sigh.. I really miss these plugins. Hopefully Tony gets a chance to update these to the latest Mac M1 system as native plugins. SDRR is absolutely one of a kind thing and totally unique sounding. Miss it dearly!!

One thing I like about SDRR is that it's so encompassing to me that I don't have to even think about other saturation plugs. I can quite happily ignore the multitude of freebies/nobrainers out there knowing my bases are covered in that area. A couple of others for more extreme distortions (Dent etc), chowtape for tape emulation and I'm done.

Ive got the Tube version from Presonus Studio Magic. Is it worth it upgrading to full version? I might use the tube most anyways

The free IVGI has quite a bit of the 'desk' model, so between the two you have a lot covered. I like the 'digi' mode so far, though haven't played with it that much, and haven't used the 'fuzz' model yet.

Has anyone asked him about native Apple silicon support? Does it work with Rosetta?

Works fine here, but I don't think I've had any plugin that didn't, other than part of the UI for Sonible Smart Comp.

Yep klanghelm is great , I've got them all .
Sdrr germanium stage( fuzz) is great on elec .bass.
Even the dc8c has a great saturation stage , pre or post comp .
Awesome developer , prices are way too low

Did anyone decrypt what are his plugins named after? I've read somewhere SDRR stands for "Sex Drugs and Rock'n'Roll", seems accurate

IVGI stands for "Is Very Good Indeed"

Klanghelm SDRR
