Amplitube 5 and Stealth Pedal - How to ?

Is it still possible to use the "old" stealth Pedal (2009 or so) with Amplitube 5?

I am on Mac, I have dewnlaoded the "Stealth Pedal Midi Control" app, I can see "Stealth Pedal" in my MIDI Devices list, I have Amplitube5 set to receive from ANY MIDI Device, I try to "MIDI-Learn" on a wha pedal, nothing happens (but I can successfully send MIDI cc from another MIDI device such as a Keyboard)

Is there something magical that needs to be done to make it wotk in Amplitube 5 ???

not on recent OSX. 32-bit. even before they made that impossible, I couldn't install this, back at Sierra.
they make something now replacing it, is the thing

There were never any clear tutorials on how to get it setup to record midi automation, and no responses on forums by anyone at IK, even 10 years ago on PC. I'm not complaining as I won one of these in a KVR promo competition for it, but I have since given it away to one my band mates so he can use it as a plug and play core audio interface for his macbook.

I used XGear with it for Host Automation back at AT3, it's that application won't install. If you have a software interface for it actually installed I don't know why it wouldn't communicate with AT5 but OG Stealth Pedal looks pretty deprecated. I don't even know if that is for the new Pedal they sell or the legacy box, which I haven't had in a long time.

Is your Stealth Pedal MIDI Control app version 1.1.1 that was released in March of 2020?
Do you have it open and have assigned the various Stealth Pedal controls to MIDI CCs?

I have not had much luck using old school Stealth Pedal in some years. I can still get an old StompIO original to do 24-bit and 48KHz, and its preamp still sounds really nice with guitar to this day It can't communicate otherwise though.

I use AT5 a ton, I ought to get one of those newer Stomp I/O units. They look pretty slick and I could use a better instrument in than I have right now.

Works fine on Win10 here.
You just have to always have the app running and minimized.
I don't use it's audio features, I just use it for midi control.

Having the real stomp wah switch is the selling feature for me.
