Am a newbie. Is there a way to automate a drum-beat (whether midi or audio) in Serum, like in a growl dubstep. I've worked out the automation part but drawing the patterns manually is cumbersome.
Thanks in advance. Have attached a screen shot as an example.
Serum and Cubase 11

Serum would be an instrument and Cubase 11 would be a host. Neither of them are effects though, so I think this is the wrong forum. Regarding the question, maybe you should try modulation within Serum instead of writing in the automation? Or map the value to a knob on a midi controller and play it in, if you want it to be different throughout the track? I don't use Cubase, but if you have written in automation that repeats, I'm sure you can just copy and paste.
