Hello ! I would like to know if you can hear strings in this track :
in the lead !

Starting at 0m45s. Basically, I hear a string layer in the lead. For me, it is synths + strings. But some people said me that there is no strings at all in this track.

Can you say me what you are hearing ? Thanks !

I ask this because at first, I was thinking there is strings in the lead. Some people said me that there is absolutely no strings.

When hearing the melody it with more attention with headphones, I hear this :
1. A kind of buzzing synth lead layer
2. Strings layer in background.

I'm not sure if there is strings, but it feels like strings.

What do you hear ? Thanks ! (I wonder if my hearing sucks...)

highly doubtful, at best, tbh
I hear synthesizer.

I'd say what you're hearing, probably, is reverb

When I listen to it on the smartphone speaker, I hear a layered string sound. When I listen to it on normal PC speakers, it all blends to one sound. So I guess there's definitely several sounds layered, and a string sound among them, which contributes more in the treble region and is therefore more discernible on smartphone speakers. I'd suggets you just try around different sounds until it blends well.

Me thinks it's one synth sound which is close to string (square wave?) but has instant attack (which typical strings lack).
After 4 repetitions Ferry (or hist ghost producer) mixes in a layer that's more bass-heavy and reverby (processed through an IR? )
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Image

I'm in agreement with those suggesting it is a synth. The attack is automated to increase its value for certain notes, which might sound more string-like.

I'm relatively certain this is not acoustic bowed strings, too much is missing and things bowed strings won't do are too prevalent. I don't think there's that many layers or overdubs either, the reverb is doing a lot there.
