Heya-
1. I hope your pleased that my system is not down, because I'm having a hell of a worry keeping any of them going.

I have a Dell Alienware Area51, which is so appreciable, it's not like I deserve it.
After about 2 years of operation I decided to open it and have a look. It was so damn dusty that i broke a vacuum cleaner fixing that.
But the reason I did was because I was wondering about it's liquid cooled CPU, which is an encapsulated unit that appears to sorta work for it's life-time.

-- do these liquid cooling units require any fluid replacement?

You would have to know if it's a closed loop or open loop. I have a closed loop system and it never needs maintenance.

I build my own custom loop water-cooled PC, I do maintenance yearly, mostly replace tubing, clean blocks, replace fitting o-rings and coolant to prevent gunk build-up and leakage, so far never had any horror story.
If yours are those AIO system I don't think you can service it yourself.

Some AIO models can be expanded and refiled.

It sounds like it is a closed loop that lasts perhaps 3 years and then is replaced. No maintenance within that is required as far as I can gather

How often does liquid cooling need servicing?
