I was amazed by the sound quality of Softube's Model 72 and Model 84 synths. Their analog-modeling tech is top-notch. And it's really cool that the synths can be broken down as individual modules in Softube Modular.
I hope that Softube will not stop with just these two synths, though. Which ones would you like to see next? I vote for Octave The Cat. That synth has a really nice filter.

I might be slightly interested in a SEM emulation. Lots of those recently, but whatever, I like the sound.
What would be more interesting is a completely new, modern synth by them.

SEM would be cool! As for modern synths, I was not impressed by Parallels, Monoment Bass, and Statement Lead. They sound good, I suppose, but the ROMpler concept isn't very interesting to me.Azbest wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 9:07 pm I might be slightly interested in a SEM emulation. A proper Korg MS20 emulation, but also an OSC OSCar or EDP Wasp would be nice.
But it would be also okay for me, if the next release is an accurate software version of the Yamaha CS60/CS80.

Oberhausen is such a fantastic SEM I would be super disappointed if Softube made one. That territory is well covered thanks to Oberhausen.
I want....... an Xpander!
They seem stuck on just making stuff that already exists though (minimoog, juno 106). At least so far. But that said, the Model-72 is one of the most amazing sounding plugins I own, so I can't really complain. I like it way, way better than any other Moog emulation.

I thought we were talking about quality emulations and not just structural copies....vertibration wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 11:44 pm wild that everyone always want whats already been done to pieces.

That would be amazing. The existing CS-80 emulations (Arturia and Memorymoon) are both mediocre at best. I can't make either one of them sound like this (they can sort of superficially imitate it, but it's a lifeless façade with no depth or magic). Deckard's Dream doesn't really do it for me either (it's only "inspired by" the CS-80; it has totally different components that just don't nail the sound).Rastkovic wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 9:33 pm But it would be also okay for me, if the next release is an accurate software version of the Yamaha CS60/CS80.![]()

It's true that there were already excellent emulations of both of those synths, but I think Softube chose to do them because they also integrate with their modular systems — Modular and Amp Room. I don't find Model 72 significantly better than The Legend (IMO they're about on par), but I do enjoy using its components in Modular.mholloway wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 9:50 pm They seem stuck on just making stuff that already exists though (minimoog, juno 106). I just hope they improve the modular UI. The fact that I need to go into Move mode just to move the modules is annoying AF

An MS-20 would totally fit into the concept of Modular. Would be a very interesting choice for them to model that one and break out the component pieces into Modular. Same for an Arp 2600. I know there are other versions of those out there between Korg and Arturia, but I would really like to see Softube's take on those.

Yeah, it's hot garbage. My guess is the new Amp Room interface (which is quite good now) will be brought over to Modular, and we'll be able to drag and drop modules from a tray on the bottom, drag to rearrange, shift-drag to select multiple, zoom, etc.coroknight wrote: Fri Sep 10, 2021 1:16 am I just hope they improve the modular UI.
