Spot the difference

I bought some Focal Solo6 Be monitors off a large UK supplier, but they developed a problem causing audible distortion. I sent them back to the company for repair along with two audio files, one clean, the other from my Focals recorded with a studio mic, showing the problem. But the UK supplier claims they can't hear the difference and asked if I accidentally sent the same file twice! I can hear the difference really clearly, or am I going mad? These are the two files, both of them 5 sec mono wav files:
