anyone knows, if you get the u-he plugin licnese code upfront on buying an upgrade or just after you applied the upgrade to the bitwig license?

Just out of interest: Is there any upgrade way from Bitwig 8-track? Whenever I click on "Renew" in my user account, it just takes me to the user account page again... link seems to be broken.

I think - it'll upgrade itself once you register the serial ( detecting 8-track ver in your acc.)

Thanks, but, I was more interested in the price of the upgrade. I don't even know if there is a upgrade path from 8-track at all though.

There is a little "upgrade" button on the top right of your license in your bitwig user account. That should tell you the price. I bought Bitwig during the last sale and am extremely happy with it..

Nope. Maybe this is the problem:

Bitwig 8-Track 4.0.1 is available but not covered, please renew your upgrade plan.

Anyway, I'm not really interested in upgrading, I was just curious about the pricing.

Interesting. I guess you could just grab another free copy of 8-track somewhere. Even though I have the full license, I can still upgrade from Bitwig 8-Track an it's currently 359€. I was told that during sales, it's possible to upgrade from 8-Track for around 200€ via third party vendors (JRR).

Spent the last couple of days trialling Studio. User friendly and works well on my system. I do own 8-Track, but dismissed to a back folder after hitting it's limitations in the first hour. Account upgrade shows $299. for Studio and $79. for 16-Track before applying the u-He coupon. I'm thinking of just getting 16-Track. Final price shows $59.25 (without the free synth, which I already own anyway). TBT, I felt a little burnt by the 8-Track purchase, but as a path to upgrade, not so much anymore.
Still, I'm suspicious of them now by what they intentionally don't say. So I haven't pulled the trigger yet. As long as I get Unlimited Plugins available and 16 Tracks in their "double sequencer" environment, I'm good with that for the money. I am wondering about the effect limitation though. Is that 2 per project or track? Anyone using that version know?

16-track doesn't make sense. Buy the whole thing or don't bother at all...

I gave away my -25% code from U-He, but perhaps someone else could give you theirs.
