So, which music production YT ad grates on your nerves currently?

BTW, that's not a criticism towards Nico - he's probably a good guy & great producer, but seeing this before literally every YT video makes me want to murder him

Click the small (i) on the bottom left (next to to advertisement 1/1 and its time duration, brings up tooltip "why this add")

Then click "Don't show this add anymore"

(translation by me, I get Dutch messages from YT)

Install "ublock origin" browser addon, set it up, be rid of all youtube ads in the browser and a ton of other crap.

Gotta admit , I forced myself to watch their latest promo and try to understand how any sane person could fall for it , or why anyone would be part of this ..it's beyond me
Their latest add , 'Drummonkey' is GOLD
Adds like these make me consider upgrading to an add free youtube acount

yeah I love these ads - the UI with the monkey that looks like a 90s flash animation, the actors who are clearly being held at gunpoint, the plugin that looks like it does way less than something like atlas or xo but for 3x the price, it's great stuff

The Unison ones are super annoying and I don't know why I keep getting the ads even though I've clicked dislike on the darn thing like 500 times. I even have an Adblock now just so I don't have to deal with it.

It’s preposterous to think those are hired actors. You can make any semi-useful plugin or pack and gift it to producers active on YouTube and get free reviews you can use in your ad.

Chord packs (the ones that are just like every inversion and every extension) are decent enough timesavers on a laptop where you may be spelling out chords you know on a trackpad. It’s like a chord track for DAWs that don't have it.

The ads are obnoxious though, and I think they dramatically overstate the product’s utility. Yes, almost every hit song had chords. No, chords don’t make a hit song.

Midi chord pack for me it appears virtually everything I am on YouTube. I did find it quite funny that the midi chord pack ad came halfway through this video though (it parodies the chord pack about 8 minutes in)
