Most frustrating to be the Soundtoys 5 owner: after waiting years for an update, we get the 5.3.5 version announcement, including pratically only techical improvements for one DAW (Reaper).

These are the "Highlights" :

Fixes issues with offline rendering in Reaper and other hosts, where the effect might have a delayed onset or undesirable fade in.
Fixes audio artifacts that could happen when editing modulation patterns during playback.
Fixes issue where events could be edited to 0 level and then no longer modified.
Effect Rack now resets delay buffers on preset changes.
Fixes an issue with PhaseMistress sound for certain 2-stage phaser styles.
Fixes an issue where Effect Rack could crash on load in Reaper on Windows.
Pattern editor stability improvements.

wha-choo ramblin' on about?

Why do we need an update? I never have to worry about a soundtoys plugin crashing a session.

You mean, fixing crashes is the only reason updating/upgrading plugins?

100 % disagree.

If they _are_ working on ST6 then they'll likely only be interested in maintaining the current flagship product rather than adding stuff.

We also need to change GUI every 2 months because our plugins feels boooring

Really - I’m not too much into that.
But there are people in every train.

Soundtoys plugins are for suckers. Old plugins with a high price tag. That honestly do not sound that much better over stock plugins.

I felt exactly the opposite. Good to hear they are still alive and hunting bugs.
What's exactly what you are waiting for? New plugins? UI?

I'd kinda' assumed that they'd stopped development beyond fixes, etc. As they've not released anything significant for quite a while.

I think they still sound decent, even today. Would love to see them get rid of the wooden panels though, which would also make them sound a bit cleaner.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Every day I wake up, and there's 20 updates for my Android apps, and I don't even have many installed (the opposite, I only have very few installed...). So friggin' annoying, but, what can you do, the people want updates, so that they can see that the software is being developed. So developers create little updates with one or 2 very minor changes, instead of collecting stuff, and doing an update every few months, like they used to, so that the user gets an impression that there's a MASSIVE development going on.

True story. What does it have to do with this thread? Well... :) I think quality is much more important than quantity. And, I usually buy my software for the state ther're in. I can't possibly know what state they will be in in the future.

First I was a bit offended about you calling me a sucker, but, frankly, I have to admit that you're not that wrong with what you're saying. I've been "suckered in" to buy Phase Mistress (well... of course my own fault and decision ;)), and, I must admit that I'm pretty underwhelmed by it. Same with the other stuff I own from them (Little Plate, Sie-Q, Tremolator). You know, they aren't bad. But, they aren't exactly great either. IMO, very overrated here.

They were really good back in the day, but they have dated. I still think Echo Boy is a solid delay. But I never really rated their filters however. Decapitator is good but I've got better stuff now days.

Then I am as much of a sucker as you are  But I must say that I find Devil-Loc to be extremely fun to use, as is Little Primal Tap.
