What's the difference between the updated zebralette, and the updated zebraCM. I honestly haven't the time to try them both
I'm already subbed to CM anyway, I just want to know if there's a point to installing both. Thanks!

Frankly, I don't have the [...] to answer that for you then.nicolabbeats wrote: Sun Oct 10, 2021 3:30 pm What's the difference between the updated zebralette, and the updated zebraCM. I honestly haven't the to try them both![]()
You have Zebra CM, you can get Zebralette. You can hold a spoon. Enough said. Kudos for at least realizing and admitting that you're lazy though.

Zebralette: 1 oscillator and no filter.
ZebraCM: 2 oscillators and filter.
ZebraCM: 2 oscillators and filter.

to add to that: zebralette is more like an additive synth, zebracm more like the classic subtractive synth. the one oscillator in zebralette is way more flexible (you can "paint" up to 16 waveforms and have the osc-fx, which even include a filter) then the 2 oscs in zebracm (16 blendable fixed waveforms and no osc-fx).
zebralette also has only one classic env but additionally one way more flexible mseg. zebracm has 2 envs.
in my opinion it's worth to have both.

Both very powerful synths even with just a mere subset of Zebra's features.audio/fault wrote: Sun Oct 10, 2021 3:50 pm to add to that: zebralette is more like an additive synth, zebracm more like the classic subtractive synth. the one oscillator in zebralette is way more flexible (you can "paint" up to 16 waveforms and have the osc-fx, which even include a filter) then the 2 oscs in zebracm (16 blendable fixed waveforms and no osc-fx).

zebralette is (to all intents and purposes) one wavetable oscillator of Zebra 2
zebra cm is based on zebra 1 and is more traditional in its layout
