By far the most round is NI Rounds.
Though, round soft synths tend to sound too dark. I mostly use triangles.

Hiya, new to kvr? I’d suggest using the search function for similar threads, im sure you will find hundreds. After reading them all you may realize that their is no such thing. Hopefully you have any softsynth and that’s the best one for now. After a few decades i woudn’t be able to tell anyone, including myself what is the best. Just the ones that suit me best (that day).

If you found the Instruments sub-forum for your first post you should have been able to find this one:

Anyway this is a question that has no answer or perhaps more accurately has so many answers that it makes asking the question pointless.

For using presets I find absynth and synthmaster very good. I don't tweak because I'm pressed for time often. I have fm8 as well, I like that too.
Massive is good too. But the above I find dull, plain though I have success with them.
I've had less luck with spire as I have harmless and harmor tbh. There's a lot of press presets for either, more for harmor I think. For arps though, I like synthmaster.
Synthmaster one is cool, but I found it a bit dull. Sakura excites Me the most, but less presets. Would be neat with an arp.
One of My favorites is by nusofting, the physical modelling one. Few presets though, no follow through on the preset making, too bad.

Basically you need to buy every synth. Sorry, I don’t make the rules, but if you want to have your bases covered, there’s no other recourse.

'Best' is moment feeling
The more important is what you want to achieve and which synth will do the job better at the moment

Tracktion’s Biotek and Waverazor are as round as it gets… Most others are square…
