Reason free trial is gone. Now they charge 1$ to the equivalent of free trial

Reasonstudios charge 1$ for a trial :)

Just reading their forum. Apparently there is no free trial anymore. No sign of it at their website.

You can only try for 1$ first month. And if you don't opt out manually they start charging for subscription. Now...I am not saying anything but if that wasn't the weirdest decision of 2021 then I don't know what is :)

They decreased the trial from 30 days to 7 and now from 7 to 1$ for 30 days. Seems quite erratic.

No nah ha this isn't worrying. Despite myriads of people who haven't complained about the free trial - they simply trashed it. Another one not visible on their public road map :hihi:

That's a brilliant reasoning which brings us to a pure conclusion: We're done here. Something is fishy.

To be clear, this is for the Reason+ subscription. There is still no cost (other than bandwidth) to download the standalone version of Reason for a demo.

Get started with 3 months of Reason+ for $1

Use promo code waves3moffer at checkout

https://promo.reasonstudios.com/waves?u ... o-nov-2021
That's $1 for the whole three months split into three payments.

Gosh, it's getting more difficult every week to be a supporter of Reason and - in particular - of Reason Studios.

He is wrong. There is no link, no Reason trial anymore.

You can only "try" Reason + which is a subscription service. It will provide you fully functional trial for 30 days. for 1$

Simply put there is no official Reason 12 (standalone) demo/trial whatever. It was removed yesterday and apparently it's not coming back. Seems unbelievable but true.

So basically the only way to "trial" now is to subscribe for 1$ for 30 days - meaning in order just to try software you need to own a credit card. And pay 1$. And then you need to opt out manually.

Woooot

Perhaps waxtrax wanted to say that if you are lucky and get Reason 12 download link from someone - you're able to install it and run it in demo mode, meaning limited functionality, no support (you need account to ask them anything) and no option to try RE from other developers during trial - which was a really important aspect of it.

It's simple there is no Reason trial anymore as we know it. You can now trial the way you used to "trial" only if you pay 1$. It is as simple as that. The fact that there's no Reason trial button on their website anymore should give you a hint in which way they are steering with this.

Any other weird way to install it or run it in crippled mode is not the trial in the way it worked up until yesterday.
