Plugins/Effects and Settings Suggestions for Recording Voice-Overs

Greetings.

Long-time reader; first time poster!

Was wondering if anyone had any advice for recording Voice-Over Audio (mostly baritone).

Seems a difficult puzzle to maximize harmonic content, both high and low frequency, while minimizing whistley sounds and plosive "b's" and "p's"

Using a UA Twinfinity preamp. Have lots of UAD plugins available.

What settings would you use for the gain and level of the preamp?
What compression/eq settings (if any) would you use?
Other than a noise gate, would any other effects be appropriate?
