When you watch any demo of a DAW, VST etc they almost always feature a screen capture of the tool running in real time. How is that done? Is there one specific tool which everyone uses to do it? I use Windows 10 on my machine.
In case I'm not making myself clear, here's an example where the output of Reaper is captured and used:
