I'm looking for a decent alternative to this compressor , something with mid/side separate controls and a side chain high pass filter on both.
Any ideas ?

Something to replace FG-Mu or something to use as an alternative when you want something different? The Overloud Comp670 should fit the bill for either scenario.LeVzi wrote: Sat Nov 20, 2021 7:39 am I'm looking for a decent alternative to this compressor , something with mid/side separate controls and a side chain high pass filter on both.

For me the Overloud stuff is the closest to all Slate Digital plugins...
Similar sound...similar ways to expand the original functionality...similar CPU use... nice GUI´s

I'm assuming that Lateral and Vertical are Mid / Side ?

Some of Slate's plugins were (or still are) coded by Pulsar guys.
Also it's pretty great on its own right anyway, one of the rare vintage gear emulations that I often use. I tried MJUC and Overloud but it didn't sell on me (neither is bad).
Also some dude over at GS that pulled stuff through one of the online-analog services Manley said it's very close. I didn't bother because i'm not sure that i care, i just like it as a compressor.

So I pulled the trigger on the Overloud GEM COMP670
Lovely character to it, all the controls I was after, can't wait to get it into a project now.

For mastering?
Btw. the Slate FG-MU was developed by Vincent Travaglini (the CEO of Pulsar). So the closest plugin is the Pulsar MU.
