“BIG AL” still sounds like some porn star from the seventies in my opinion…

In 1966, Big Al scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon. Pretty impressive for a plugin.

Alright, OP, these are both great tone-shapers, not just saturation but EQ and some dynamics elements to their behavior, I truly use them both pretty liberally and could not pick between them for this purpose but if you were going to shoot me I'd say Big Al I guess to save my hide.

They are both great tools. But if you want opinions - Big Al is my favourite plugins from PA, and probably ma fav over all. Really great flavour and workflow. Works on everything, while Philscascade not so much
