Midi map for Racks in Ableton Live 11 (Launch Control XL)

Dear Community,

I just bought a second hand Launch Control XL Midi Controller - juhuu.
I mainly planned to use it with own User Templatess since the factory mapping is not much of use to me.
I already got stuck with the first desire to map some knobs to macros of a insturment rack: I mapped all the macros to the controller knobs and saved the instrument rack as a new .adg file. I tried to reload the Instrument and hoped, that the mapping would have been saved to that rack - which isnt the case.
Can somebody help me out on how to achieve this goal?
Even better: How to generically map a knob/fader (Midi CC) to the first macro of any selected instrument rack or effect rack which works across projects. Is there no way around a costum midi script?
Any help/ pointers to related articles is highly appreciated!

Is there no way around a costum midi script?

Normally no, as the mapping is saved in the project, not in the patch.

But perhaps you'll find this does what you need?
