High Quality Roland 808,909 etc samples?

Sampler and Sampling discussion (techniques, tips and tricks, etc.)

Post

Hey guys is there a high quality sample library? I dont mean a vst but great sampöed wavs? Somehow my 808, 707 etc seem to sound a bit muffled. I got them from a site very long ago which sold various drum samples of machines in one pack but i dont find the mail. Must be over 10 years ago.

You'll get 808, 707, 909, 606 and about 50 more from Samples From Mars right now; 60 sample packs, 56Gb of their stuff for $39. RRP is $1800.

No affiliation, I dont think Ive ever bought from them, mileages vary yada yada.

I would also recommend the dr 550 and R8 samples along with the 808/909.

Since I got the Samples From Mars set I haven't used many other drum machine samples. They have it covered.

Goldbaby has a great reputation and offers a few 808 and 909 packs. On sale for 40% off right now.

Not to hijack this thread, but... do you guys prefer samples or drum machine emus?

I'll throw this out there as it's quite a bit different to what's been mentioned and there's also some free demo sounds to download. Was £44.99 - Now £14.99! https://newloops.com/products/premium-d ... 8153917443

Maybe this is useful too. Just 808s for hiphop, trap etc... - https://newloops.com/products/808s

Personally, I prefer samples. I have made a lot of samples with drum machines, though, so there is some crossover.

I use those from WaveAlchemy because they're crushed to tape; it is more pleasant in the mix

Chris from Audio Damage released a pack of treated 909 samples a while back. I think they were released under the Analog Industries name. Can't remember where I found them.

There are these free cassette 909 samples: https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2014/0 ... 9-samples/ from BPB. He has a good cassette 606 pack too :)
