Well well well, look who's here. Mellotron. Or rather, his little brother, Mello-Fi. A sentient being coming from the depths of forgotten tape archives brought back to life.

So in this, oh so quickly put together (pretty in-depth though!), review, you'll see me explain the features of Mello-Fi, using it while singing, using it on drums, strings, in the context of a song, using it as a time machine that brings us back to 2019 (nah, that one isn't true), on acoustic guitars, lead vocals and an electric piano ("is that it Thom? Or have you tried it on all the instruments in the universe?"). Well that's it!

Namely, when I went to my Arturia account, and tried to download the Mello, it says "due to the high demand no downloads" or something like that. The Arturia Software Center didn't offer the Mello either.
So far more bad than good will because of this present.

I like the effect on the electric piano in the video. It is totally overdone in the whole video though. Probably for demonstration purposes.

The Plugin Boutique link will give you two codes that then leads you to Arturia's registration page. The reason I share Plugin Boutique's links is that I'm affiliated with them. I'll write another post in the thread about this. You'll have to wait a bit for Arturia to send you an email telling you that your product is registered. The plugin is massively popular and we all have to wait quite a bit. But it's worth it!

Yes, the activation didn't take much time. You just have a pop-up window that tells you to activate the plugin, once you click on the activation button it instantly connects to your account and the plugin is activated. To me, it's a worthy effort considering the quality of the plugin. I mean... getting something like that in the hardware world would cost loads, and be much more tedious.

Thanks! Definitely, I actually say it quite a few times in the video. There are a few times where I use it in a more subtle way though . To be honest it's not a super subtle plugin either, the tone control immediately cuts the top end of the signal for example.
