I just purchased Ohmboyz original (not Infinity) from KVR, not realising that it would just be a key that I have to redeem from the Ohm Force website. When I put the key in it says "This key needs a customer name attached to it. Please enter your first and last name."

KVR order page says if you have a problem contact Ohm Force support, but it feels to me like KVR are happily selling products that no longer exist?

I'm going to contact Ohm Force but there are long threads on here about how they don't respond.

Did you try entering your name? Do you have an account with Ohmforce?

Yes, I have an Ohm Force account, and yes, I was logged in. And yes, I tried putting in my name, both with and without the registration key, either way you get an error "An error occurred."

it's the holidays so i doubt you'll get a response from anyone. they don't seem very responsive these days regardless of if it's a holiday or not.

also, their site/registration process is screwed up. used to be able to select 'register' from the set up menu in the plug in itself and it'd take you to a page where you could complete the process but it just goes to a dead page now.. 404.

Managed to fix it using developer tools in Chrome. When I looked at the network request there are fields for first name and surname. When I looked at the form elements there were two hidden fields for first name and surname, I unhid them, filled them in and then it worked. I've downloaded the Catalina version, although I'm on Monterey, we'll see if how it goes.

Update: Installation is mildly painful but it works fine in Logic, so I'm happy. They (Ohm Force) just need to fix some JavaScript on their registration page.

Final update: Ohm Force support (Vincent) got back to me pretty quickly, given that it was the holidays, so kudos to them. Sounds like the company is far from dying, which is great news because they make awesome stuff.

One can hope, but their blog now shows a 404 error. Doesn’t give me a lot of hope for Ohmicide and the rest of their long-since-incompatible-with-macOS effects.

Is there a workaround? The pages for registering are not working... I've tried to put the registration informations (username, key) directly in the files "key_code.secu/cust_name.secu" but this seems not to work.
