Hey everyone! Here's an inspiring free ambient cassette synth : Arctic Pad by Enzalla from the Pianobook community.

In the video, you'll see me play with the library, trying out the sounds with tape echo and you'll also hear me singing while playing.

I hope you'll like this one!

Thank you for checking it out! :) I really like the sound of it. Pads are always my favourite sounds when it comes to synths. What are your favourite synths for pads?

Very nice video, thank you - and great singing, by the way. I wish I had a voice like you, fantastic.

Thanks so much for the nice comment and support! Really appreciate it :). Do you sing too? I've spent more time making videos, editing and promoting them than actually singing lately haha! So I figured I'd do both :D

I use Synthmaster 2.9.9 for most if not all synth duties, it's incredibly flexible with great envelopes.

I only have Synthmaster One, I've been thinking about upgrading. Is there a considerable difference between the two? They seem to be adding stuff to it pretty regularly.

There are two whole synth engines presented as "Layers" which is like having two discrete synths in one. Modulation is seriously impressive and a lot of the native FX are very usable. There is a wealth of high end wave tables included, as well as rudimentary FM and I think additive synthesis.

I might crossgrade to be honest, I gave it a try yesterday and a bit today and it's very powerful indeed. I'm gonna play a bit more with it and see what I come up with. I'm often more interested in what I can do with a synth from scratch than playing with presets (though presets can be a good starting point).
