For me it's a tough choice between Bitwig 3.0 and Live 11.0, but considering the sheer amount of features added in Live's latest version I'll go with that - almost everything in that video was something I wanted and felt hyped about (didn't cared about tempo following...) and as usual the execution of "cinematography" in conjcunction with dynamic, always changing but coherent music theme made it really catchy and exciting for me.
So, that's my vote. What's yours?

for me it was a video tutorial on Cubase's innovation, the warp timeline feature. It used that Pretenders track, legs and gonna use them, a pretty rock solid kind of thing to show the actual tempi of that beat (quite varying), dragging the barlines and beats within bars to meet the music. I forget was it at SX2, or SX3, probably earlier than Cubase 4. It feels like I've always had it. I didn't do much with SX1.

This is pretty easy to answer. Cubase audio on the Atari Falcon.
I well remember being at the London Music show in 1992 to watch it being demonstrated live. And then of course Steinberg introduced the VST format in 1996. Prior to the invention of these new technologies it was synced tape machines and sysex to outboard multitimbral modules that ruled everything.

Do you know if it's available somewhere? I'd love to see it!dellboy wrote: Sat Jan 01, 2022 12:09 pm This is pretty easy to answer. Cubase audio on the Atari Falcon.

Maybe the better one was the C-Lab Falcon. C-Lab, who later became Logic, modified the Falcon to make it work better...............antic604 wrote: Sat Jan 01, 2022 12:21 pmDo you know if it's available somewhere? Well, watching the video I thought, it lists almost all features of Bitwig 4. I am only missing the live tempo following. Except for that it wasn’t much excitement in there but it might come with 4.3…antic604 wrote: Fri Dec 31, 2021 9:14 am For me it's a tough choice between Bitwig 3.0 and Live 11.0
The Reason 11 video at least was funny and I got Reason light 11 for free to load it into my DAW…
I remember having been excited about Opcodes Vision, but back then the internet was way too slow for videos…

£25.40 and can't be triggered by default from other tracks... Live, Live

1) Live 11 was announced before Bitwig 4Tj Shredder wrote: Sun Jan 02, 2022 6:50 amWell, watching the video I thought, it lists almost all features of Bitwig 4. 2) This isn't about comparing DAWs - it's about which announcement made you excited not because it's better than DAW X, but because it's better than previous version
