I am not understanding the purpose of that, Says change SC from HP to LP or vice versa, OK I get that, but the gain ?

I don't own it myself but I assume that it becomes a Tilt Eq filter or probably more a Hi/Lo Shelf when it's not set to LP or HP.

Edit: the purpose is to emphasize either the low or high freqs by decrease any of them and the gain is the amount of decrease it does until it goes to full HP or LP, if it's correct semantics to call it Tilt or shelf I have no clue...

So basically to make the frequencies to be sidechained "louder" so the compressor reacts more to them ? Same as the one in fabfilter Pro C then. Makes sense now.

Yes, well to be picky, it makes either one of them less loud (since the gain indicates negative values) so the compressor will react more to the rest.. but short answer, yes :ud:
