Hey kvr people,

How can I make my leads thicken and less brittle? I've eqd them so they're not thin in that sense.

I sometimes double leads with a more "organic" type sound. Guitar, piano, another synth, even voice. Manipulated to taste. Makes them sound thicker IMO.

Post

Double track leads. Short of that, use short delay of just a few ms panned to one side with the original panned to the other, possibly with slight pitch or modulation effects for an ADT, Eventide Harmonizer, or Dimension D type effect.

For a good thick kazoo sound you need about 400 of them.

All 2m apart for social distancing and spatial purposes.

And all of people no lighter than 12st 4lbs.

I'm going to assume you mean a synth lead, and even i'll go as far as a supersaw sound type.

Layers.

Lots of layers

Like a sponge cake.

Of course if you actually DO mean Kazoo's, I was just guessing before ;)

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Are you going to provide us an example, or have you abandoned the subject?
