Using Ableton Live for 1st time in couple of years.
Can someone tell me why an instrument (i.e. with no audio inputs) has a sidechain? I'm missing something here, lol. Selecting an actual SC input, does bugger all (which I expected)
I thought it was a VST3 bug/weirdness, as switching to VST2 versions got rid of sidechain sections on other synths I'd been using. But Kick2 is VST2 only (I think), and the sillychain remains.
It's annoying the hell out of me.
Return to Ableton after years away... WTF? sidechain section on instruments?!?

Not sure since I don't own that plugin, but sometimes devs leave audio inputs exposed to the host in a plugin that doesn't use those inputs (including instruments), those are invisible in many hosts, but Live or modular hosts like Hermann Seib VSTHost will show the audio inputs (even though they are useless).
In short, it may actually have (useless) audio inputs.
Again, not sure though.
