TheSplit (Free Plugin)

Hi all, I made a mid-side/frequency/transient/dynamics splitter plugin (AU/VST3, Mac/Win, x64/arm64). Got some great feedback on gearspace, and was wondering what you guys think. You can check it out via my Ko-fi/KVR/Plugins4Free links.
Look forward to reading your thoughts,

Looks very interesting... but I was wondering as a splitter, is it supposed to output the various components into separate channels? I'm only getting a single output. Or it might be FL Studio - you have to go into properties and enable multiple in/outputs when they are available. There are no multi-outs here, there's even a nice refresh I thought might work depending on the mode being used, but nothing. Wikid idea.

Thanks. The multi IO works well in DAWs like Reaper or Waveform where you can graphically connect the plugin pins. Not all DAWs work well with non-traditional IO (in this case 2ins and 4 outs), so I added the 'Flip' option (i.e. run it as a 2-2 plugin and turn on 'Flip' to output what would be the 3rd and 4th channels if it was running as a 2-4 plugin). The plugin is coded to support 2-2, 2-4, and even 4-4, but some DAWs handle this more flexibly than others.Debutante wrote: Thu Feb 03, 2022 12:06 am Looks very interesting... but I was wondering as a splitter, is it supposed to output the various components into separate channels? Thanks for the reply. The really interesting thing is that I don't have that FLIP knob anywhere on my GUI - as in it's missing. I only get everything else but NO Flip. I just re-downloaded v. 1.0.3TheZhe wrote: Thu Feb 03, 2022 12:16 amThanks. The multi IO works well in DAWs like Reaper or Waveform where you can graphically connect the plugin pins. Plugin parameters do not determine the channel configuration -- that's the Host's job. Nevertheless, I will try some tests in FL and let you know if something comes up.

Works fine for me. I send some audio to TheSplit on insert 1. Then I output insert 1 to inserts 2 and 3 which were both connected to the master. Perhaps you're using the patcher plugin which doesn't work as well. LMK if that works -- ZheDebutante wrote: Thu Feb 03, 2022 10:41 am Good news - I can see the separate outputs now with flip turned on
Bad news - the output only ever goes to one of the channels. The other is silent
