Hi. Just wrote a long post introducing myself but couldn't post it because it looked like SPAM. Basically as an old guy getting back into this after 20 some years (ex wife didn't like me disappearing into music for hours and 15 minute blocks didn't work for me) I need help. This future I find myself in is too amazing. It's like I walked into a pawn shop to find all the keyboards I've lusted after but could never afford upgraded 1000% with insane effects racks attached for pennies compared to what I am used to. So I need help. I have already bought a DAW that does everything I could want for a lifetime, plus multiple multiple virtual synths, a ROMpler that is mind boggling amazing, a vendor's komplete set that I lusted after for years, various presets, sample libraries, etc. I'm like a kid in a candy store. So old guys, once I catch up will I be less like a dog going 'squirrel', or do you still wake up each day giggling because of how amazing all of this is? While cheap in comparison to what I am used to, this is all adding up, but I can't help myself. I mean I don't have to eat ramen for 6 months to get a down payment on a synth (though strangely I have to wait until November/December for some arbitrary reason, luckily I came back to this in the right month). And then to top this off there is actual access to people showing me how to use this stuff, tips and tricks that take me to a whole new level, and I can even watch music producers breaking down how they made hits. I can't get over how great this part of the future is. Sorry for the ravings of a newly addicted music tool junkie.

I am right there with you, I dabbled in the 80's but life has kept me busy with other things since then. Just now getting back to music, learning piano and Ableton now.
