I always thought of Nova as EQ first, i need to give it a spin.
I have Pro-MB but it's a bit too lean for me, want something more aggro. Uhbik-C inflation is pretty aggro
edit
maybe i'm unfair to Pro-MB, it's fairly aggro when pushed. I wish Pro-C2 just offered upward compression with its different flavours.
on the second thought i think i'll spend more time with Pro-MB in that regard, thanks for reminding me.

YW.
The best compressor i tried that can go “aggro“ with this is Image Line Maximus.
On Mac it's only available within FL Studio's native suite though.
But yes, Pro-MB is good for this too

Do you really need GE? I thought the free version could do it also... But I could be mistaken.

Free version “only“ covers downward compression and upward expansion
The GE has an additional switch to make it upward compression and downward expansion instead of the former behavior.

Expurgate is the craziest upwards compressor i have heard. It makes OTT seem tame
If you happen to be looking for something more refined that you could even use it on a master, then look it Flux Alchemist, and their Pure DExpander i think they call it

Anything that lets you shape the transfer curve can be made to work as upwards compressor.
For instance this is excellent: https://ddmf.eu/comprezzore/
DMG Audio Compassion and Multiplicity also do upwards compression and both can be used subtly or with extreme settings.

Waves MV2 does it in a very musical way.Dirtgrain wrote: Sat Feb 05, 2022 6:24 pmWaves MV2 can do it (not sure if it does it well compared to others).

(Will never ever consider Waves, I know they have MV/MaxxVolume, but their business is just not customer friendly)
