PolyM 1.5 Launch offer: 89€ instead of 149€

You only have until March 4th, 2022 to take advantage of this 40% discount!!

What's new in 1.5 version ?

  • A new Extended Arpeggiator has been integrated: Much more than the standard playing up and down the notes of a chord, this arpeggiator added cycled modulations and mute possibilities for sparkling notes that are a full of life.
  • To take full advantage of the marvelous PolyM graphic interface in new high-resolution computers, we added several bigger sizes.
  • More presets from Zensound, Daniel Stawczyk and Adam Borseti.
  • Full compatibility with Apple M1 based computers.
  • Full VST3 compatibility.
  • Easy global A3 tuning (440hz, 432hz, anything else).
  • Easy Octave change.
  • Always the same stunning, analog sound.
  • FREE for PolyM Owners
Did you say PolyM ?

The infinite tonal richness of the sound of the glorious machine from which the PolyM inherited its DNA was based on the combination of a few unique factors:
  • 2 oscillators per voice with the Divide Down Technology to get that precise oscillator beating you will never find elsewhere, the 24db Moog designed Ladder Filter, and a fully featured Filter Bank Resonator module.
  • We also exposed a lot of parameters that were not accessible on the original machine and added vintage sounding Delay, Phaser and Reverb, as well as plenty of modulation possibilities that did not exist on the original machine (Like an ADSR Ev, and a plethora of LFOs as modulation sources).
And the sound ?
  • More than two years spent analyzing our Polymoog synthesizer showed us that the most important part when recreating the true character of the sound is the Top Octave Divider Oscillators. We spent months modeling Polymoog's oscillators in a way no one else did. A true Divide Down algorithm that brings the true sound of the Polymoog.
  • The legendary Vox Humana sound, popularized by Gary Numan in his song Cars, can now be played by anyone with our PolyM making it possible to deliver that authentic sound you would never have found without using the original classic synth.

How does it compare to Cherry Audios emulation?

Post

hi,

As I'm based in answering that, I prefer sharing this comment received by email a few months ago
"To finally own what I consider a perfect Polymoog Vox Humana... Is just incredible!
The Polymode offering is great at £28 but at the end of the day it us always true... You get what you pay for and I think your non Black Friday retail price absolutely reflects the superior quality. "

Anyway, the best is to test and compare.

Best regards
Xavier

I like all of the XILS-lab synths, but PolyM is one of my favorites. 😎

Something strange is happening to my presets, saved to the DAW (or saved in a track) using BitWig, where not all the params are recalled properly.

For example, if I
  1. load up a patch in the synth's browser
  2. save the song in BitWig,
  3. close the song,
  4. re-open the song
...then PolyM still shows the patch loaded (e.g.: the name at the top), but the sound is wrong. The pitch is off, the envelopes are weird, etc.

If I use the "next patch" button and the "previous patch" button, the sound is restored, but ... that's not really helpful if I've edited the preset. :S

...Any hope this is something that could be fixed? :S I know it's probably totally an "edge case" for a user who uses BitWig to save non-preset patches, but ... it *does* mean I'm less inclined to use the synth, which is a shame.

Thanks for this report.
I guess you are working with the VST3 plug-in.
I'll try to reproduce it and fix this problem (I guess within a day or two).
Are you on OSX or windows ?

Best regards

Oh, thanks!

Windows 10 (up to date otherwise), BitWig 4.0.8 (yes, I realize this is slightly old), and, yes, it's the VST3 version.

...Should I try the VST2? I don't mind doing that...

Hi,
VST2 should work fine, but we still need to fix this VST3 thing !

I just tested it with BitWig and so far I wasn't able to reproduce it. Anyway, I don't know this DAW very much, so maybe I missed something. For better support, it's worth you contact us on our https://www.xils-lab.com/support/contact-us web page, thanks in advance.
