Halion 2.0 or Akai Sampler ?

Hey .. I got the yamaha cs2x synthesizer .. I wanna sample its performances and sounds into Logic Platinum 5.5 , I got halion and all vst samplers , can I sample them with my vsts or I will have to buy the a hardware sampler.

Set up a midi track to trigger the Yamaha,and record each note you want to sample.Set up an audio track to record the synth's output.This is all just as you would do if you were recording a song in logic.Leave sufficient space between notes in the sequence so that the synth's output decays to 0.Record audio.Use the strip silence command,creating individual audio files of the notes.Name each of these files with the name of the sampled patch and its note.Save.Open up the wav or aiff files in Halion or whatever, and map to keys as per that instrument's capacities and methods.Save your new instrument.Good hunting.
