Heya I am looking for a sampler like the Halion wave table sampler for sampling minimal or maybe just one one shot sample for say a violin sound with the same wave table capability such as tuning and etc and so forth
But with out all the mother fudging complexity and overly articulate wording for different functions and so on
I already have iris by izotope but never used it to be honest as it came with a package
Willing to spend money if I need to though
Don’t get me wrong I do like Halion n that but I just get a headache when I open the damn thing
I want to take say a violin sound from a vinyl and use it on a production and not happy to just pitch up and down
I understand the Halion way has various options yada yada etc and so on

Not sure if you’re taking about a basic sampler or basic wave table.
Waves CR8 is a basic sampler and something like Arturia pigments can do wavetables (a lot of options here)

Bit confused tbh. You are mixing wavetable and sampler in the same sentence. It sounds like you want a simpler sampler. But to you say you want to do more than pitch it?? So granular maybe? Pigments has granular and sample playback.

Nah in Halion 6 you can import a sample and it separates into wave table and you can process all the minute slices in batch or individually and use tuning options for the etc
I managed to import a grungy bass sample before and it was quite effective it’s just a bit of a head ache using it all

If it just makes a wavetable from an audio file, then Serum does a good job of that. Also, Avenger has a resampler which might be worth looking at too.

I'm not exactly if you are looking for a way to create wavetables or something to import them into to play, I'm thinking the former?
What I use now is something made for a hardware module, but it just produces wavetables. It's free and easy to use, WaveEdit. https://synthtech.com/waveedit/
There is also Ocean Swift's free tool, but I've yet to try it. https://oceanswift.net/wavetabler/
Before Wave edit I used Audio Term but that is much more complicated to use from memory, it more or less has the OS of a PPG Waveterm.

I’ve gotten great results using Icarus. Serum does the job too, but I find it harder to get the results I’m expecting.
