Yes, I'm an idiot. Fixed. It works out to be like 29/8.

This one I did a while ago is kind of weird it's a 6/4 groove over a 4/4 drum beat, so don't know if that counts...

Indeed it counts...and need not be considered wierd. A 6/4 over a 4/4 would usually apply to polyrhythmics, and such rhythms are sure as Hel (from nordic mythology and not Hell from christian) pretty fcking far from being straight 4/4, since they are ambigious per definition. Everything is good. Thanks for the contribution.

i found another old one (okay this time mix is really bad - didn't know much of the things i know today).
but i still really like the beat and the part starting around 4:15. maybe i should do a rework of it (some day at least :) )

Thanks for returning tomtom1.

I allow myself a little sidestep. Jan Civil's PC was stolen. Her only mean to make music and get some meaning into life. I have tried to fundraise a new one for her. So if you know Jan and appreciate her music and contributions to KVR, even a small donation can help. See this thread

Sorry for the OT. Back on topic it is.

Kind Regards

even if you don't know her, she's in need, please spare a few dollars even, every little will help the cause.

it's one thing wrong in the world that we can easily sort. and every little act of kindness or empathy helps in a world this far gone.

Gothi asked me to post here. the least I can do considering

I have a couple of things (five I can think of) founded in set time sigs. The majority of what I do is other than 4/4 but not predetermined that way, or in repetition of a pattern.

The cycle here is 39, the 3rd one in the set is also 39 (NB: neither are '13') but very differently.

The middle one, the impetus was a bit which turned into "But You're Gonna Wear Them Anyway" in Sinister Footwear II (the unreleased never-performed full ballet, Zappa). Via a drum part in notation, itself extracted from a Steve Vai transcription of an FZ guitar solo.

it shouldn't be cued to 12s, but this is iOS in Chrome trying to use Google Youtube, the normal iPad copy maneuver cuts the URL out

I think the drums are pretty good.

Actually in 21. Or 7 and 3 at the same time.

I plan on making a whole series of these bare bones polyrhythmic exercises. Sort of two handed times tables of ....time?

Anyway, it keeps me out of trouble.

I missed this when it came out. I miss a lot of things.

It made me smile uncontrollably. This almost never happens.

You are so welcome to drop em here, herodotus. Soon I will post a polyrhytmical tune myself. I am isolated with Corona ftm. and have not much else to do right now. Thanks for dropping by.

And thanks for all the contributions to the posters. It is nice with pages of alternative music, because I am getting so fatigued by 4/4 now that I do not think I will end there soon again. There is so much else to explore. Got a bunch of polyrhythms I never brought to life. Now is the chance.
