Yup... but I don't base my choices in the DAW I choose based on how much it costs, but what I want from it, that said I simply don't do subscriptions for any DAW simply because I wouldn't actually own it.
Studio One Pro 4.6 does everything I actually need. Anything else is a bonus.

I'd buy a pro version of Tracktion. I already use the free, and it does everything I want it to, other than bridge x32 plugins -- I just want to show some love, is all.
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

The amount of time I spend is much more valuable over the long term than the amount of money.tommyzai wrote: Mon Mar 14, 2022 10:53 pm*If money didn't matter, would you choose the same DAW? Why? Which? *Was your DAW of choice influenced by financial factors?
So I pay attention to the quality of that time.
MuLab does it for me because it is so elegantly designed and integrated that I can follow my ideas anywhere, without getting bogged down in bloat.

Well, if money is not an issue, I would still buy the same DAWs but in one go!
Usually I don't buy Cubase Pro or Live Suite (the latest) in one go! So, I buy, for example, the lesser version then after some time (several months) I upgrade. Recently though, I bought Bitwig and S1 in one go but from the 2nd hand market.
I feel I have everything I need on the highest level I want! Even for hardware (I have two midi keys and two synths only!). So, for me it is not about money, but about the lack of devoting myself to make music. Money can't do anything for me, only hard working can, but I'm lazy with no strong motives

Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

If money were no object I would use the exact same DAW that I use now, Logic.
Why? Because I like it, because I am used to it and because it works well for me and my music. It'll probably outlive me.
No, my choice of DAW was not influenced by any financial factors.
Even if I were a Billionaire, I would only own 1 DAW, the one that I know well and that I like.

Is this question open to people who don't use REAPER or Cakewalk?
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Yes, I use two (Ableton - the flexibility in dropping stuff I love and Logic - audio routing is brilliant)tommyzai wrote: Mon Mar 14, 2022 10:53 pm *If money didn't matter, would you choose the same DAW? Why? Which?
Kind of. Logic is very good value for what you get. Mac Only though which is a downside for a lot of people
