I had a analogue deck thingy back in the 2000s that could create a warble "sand" effect that made pretty much anything sound like complete crap. It would granularly apply this effect and would vaguely resemble the original audio, matching the volume, pitch, vibrato etc. It pretty much sounded like this () and compared the original sample () it sounded awful.

Spacy. Are you sure this in an analog effect though? Sounds more like some heavy bitcrushing and/or lo-res fft-fuckery?

I'm curious now too.

it sounds like you said, granulator type of effect. the settings is a matter or playing around but that should be it.
