Hi,
well, anybody here that uses the whole thing, do you think it's worth it at 50% off.
My upgrade price is 275eur, it's quite tempting.

I use many of those plugins on every mix. It was worth it for me, though there are many I have not touched.

How much disposable income do you have? Like...will that purchase really hurt you in any way?soulata wrote: Tue Apr 12, 2022 11:27 am Hi,

How many plugins do you currently have? Do you already have 5 or 6 1176 plugins and a modular synthesis plugin and a bunch of EQ's and guitar amp sims already?
How many of the Softube Volume 5 plugins do you find very appealing? Is there a lot of stuff you're Jonesing for in that collection?
For me, I like the American Class A, the FET Compressor (but I have dozens), the OTO Biscuit, and the saturator is very good too. Amp Room is ok (quality varies), Modular sounds great but has a terrible workflow, and the Summit Audio stuff is pretty good but necessary. Everything else doesn't get used. But I also have a bad habit of collecting plugins.

To my ears the quality of Softube plugins has definitely increased over the years (from pretty good to really great). I have Volume One but haven’t upgraded since because a lot of the plugins they’ve put into the bundle have been older stuff. I’d much rather have the things they haven’t put in the bundle (like the Chandler collection and Empirical Labs etc)

No, not really. I'm not loaded but I can afford that.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue Apr 12, 2022 5:06 pm

I probably don't need another EQ or compressor although I remember liking Summit stuff (and FET) a lot when I demoed them.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue Apr 12, 2022 5:06 pm How many plugins do you currently have? I really liked OTO (but could probably do just as well with Aberrant DSP stuff), Parallels, Heartbeat and Harmonics.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue Apr 12, 2022 5:06 pm How many of the Softube Volume 5 plugins do you find very appealing? I don't mix much, I mostly create and leave mixing to others. Now that I put all this in writing it doesn't look as tempting as before
Same here, obviouslyFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Tue Apr 12, 2022 5:06 pm But I also have a bad habit of collecting plugins.
