I’m obsessed with this tune from La Funk Mob at the moment



It'd be dope to get a deconstruction of this one. I feel like it sounds quite simple in its elements but still a lot going on to give it a beautiful sense of theme and tension? I might be wrong here!

The drums sound really chunky - is this because they’re heavily compressed and EQ’d higher in the low end?

there's a low pass on the kick which kinda give it an illusion of beeing beefy but there's not special about EQing it a certain way to get it like that (apart from said low-pass)
the sample you choose is the important part
