I am seriously considering moving from Live to bigwig and after some comparison , I think all bigwig lacks (for my needs) is physical modeling effects and instrument. Bitwig copies so much from Ableton , I hope in the near future it will do its own version of corpus and collision . Bitwig has its own dedicated comb, and the Bitwig resonators are far more user friendly and useful than those of Live’s, but to go alongside this it needs a dedicated physical modeling synth and FX. Logic has one, I think most DAWs do .

Still - this is far from a deal breaker for me.

If experts in bigwig know different , I would be happy to hear

Live's Collision is a slightly simplified version of AAS Chromaphone. AAS Objeq Delay is a modeling FX.

I have both of those. I mainly use Plasmonic and Hive for modeling sounds. And yes, a per voice modal resonator in the Bitwig's Grid would be excellent!

I like NI Prism. It's easy to find it cheap in the 2nd hand market but the GUI is fixed and doesn't have many options. It sounds great however 😀
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

other than the modules you mentioned youd just have to use vsts, or you could do some physical modelling with bandpass filters in the grid

there are some free physical modelling modules in euroreakt for reaktor

you can also make a resonator using convolution, put a burst of noise through convolution with a tuned impulse response

As I own Chromaphone, I have a better version of Lives corpus/collision. On the other hand the comb filter in the Grid does allow quite nice models which you can tweak into new areas…

If you don't sell Live, you could possibly use Comnector from Blue Cats to use your favorite Live instruments.

Hive has 3 filter types - Comb, Dissonant, Reverb. Plus it has the Wavetable Osc's to use as endlessly variable exciters for those filters. Fast and fun to work with and lots of sweet spots. The string plucks in Hive are gorgeous.

You can model lots of lovely sounds in Bitwig too... just takes more work to learn and understand.

The new Supermodal is kind of delivering some of this. But sadly its not really the same as the corpus. A lot more complicated and it doesnt process the sound as intensely
