Is Antares the 'best' plugin for quick & nice effect on vocal?

Hi guys last time I tried out Antares was I think 2/3 years ago in demo, I remember it was only a single plugin very simple to use with a lot of straightforward presets to start from?

Now I downloaded it again it seems very complicated as I count 20 plugins - I shall only use the newly introduced Vocodist plugin right? Do you remember how the plugin was called before 2019?



I'm looking to give a simple voice effect, but not robotic, just as this example here: https://voca.ro/1hu3o1HYYc9j

If I started from a blank preset, how would you simply accomplish this effect?



I browsed through the presets and I don't know if it's me or the samples I use but the result all sounds way too robotic.

Also: do you use Vocodist on send return channel or insert effect (in this case using the Gain DB knob on the right, and if so, by how much -db usually)?

And last question: is there any other quality vocal plugin you'd recommend for lush/vocodish effects?

Almost all of them have been around for at least a decade. You've probably downloaded a bundle of all their plugins, rather than an individual installer. They may not do the latter any more.
ARTICULATOR is their old vocoder plugin, fwiw, maybe that's what you tried previously.
