I'm using Reaper if it makes a difference. Surge doesn't give Reaper's automation a handle into the LFO MSEG settings, that I can see. (Understandable since there'd be no way to implement what the MSEG does using a one dimensional method like automation.) But that's the only way I know how to do anything to a synth instrument during recording and have it stick. (I.e. set the instrument to "latch record" and "midi overdub.")
Any other way that you know of/can think of?
Surge XT--any way to change MSEG while recording and make it stick?

Never mind! I have an answer from the devs--MSEGs are neither automatable nor modulatable.
I did just think of a possible workaround that might get me close to where I wanted to be--have two different msegs modulating the same stuff, and then automate (or modulate) their "amount" or "frequency" sliders.
