The Integrate synthesizer is available now with version 1.1! This update brings support for Linux and Windows 7/8, several new distortion algorithms, a dark theme, a separate FX plugin, and much more!

It is available as a plugin in the CLAP format, testing working in Bitwig 4.3, and also as a native plugin for FL Studio (version 9 or later). Currently it runs only on Windows (32-bit and 64-bit), but support for more platforms in the future is planned.

Using the CLAP version, you'll get access to advanced features such as non-destructive polyphonic parameter modulation. It's pretty cool 8)

Features:
  • 4 main oscillators with 6 waveforms, each of which has a modulatable parameter, to help create evolving sounds. These oscillators have customizable character control, to shape the sound of the patch at the very beginning of the signal path. They additionally support FM, RM and hard sync.
  • 2 unison sections controlling different oscillators, based on the JP8000 supersaw for a massively rich sound.
  • 2 filters, with 9 filtering modes, 10 saturation modes and builtin key track. Each filter has a variable source selection, including parallel filter routing.
  • 2 amplifiers with AHDSR envelopes (with variable tension parameters), one for each filter output. While modifying the envelope a popup shows a graph of the volume over time; this is immediately hidden to reduce visual noise when you stop modifying the parameters.
  • 1 sub oscillator with 3 waveforms.
  • 3 LFOs with 11 waveforms, 3 modes and optional tempo sync. Each with a preview light.
  • 2 mod envelopes. Each with a preview light.
  • Mod matrix for additional modulation assignments.
  • Many effect units: reverb, polyrhythmic and ping-pong delay, multiband distortion, parametric EQ, arpeggiator, stereo trancegate, phaser and chorus. A "Bypass FX" button makes toggling the effects very easy.
  • Waveform preview displays. EQ curve preview display.
  • Semi-smart preset randomization, designed to strike a balance between out-of-this-world sounds and workable settings.
  • Visual hints to help understand modulation assignments. All modulators are kept on screen, and aren't hidden away in tabs. Hovering over a parameter shows which modulators are sent to it. Dials show both the user-set value and the modulated value.
  • Completely custom C++ DSP code without the use of libraries, for a sonic layer tightly coupled with the user interface.
  • User interface scaling.
  • Built-in documentation for the more complicated parameters, shown when dragging the corresponding dial. Built-in signal flow diagram, for quick reference.
  • Automatic CPU feature detection. DSP code optimized for those specific features will then be used, to reduce overall CPU usage.

Sounds good. :)
Will it have different UI sizes?

Looks and sounds OK, nothing groundbreaking, but nice enough

Watching the video, the tool tips are quite useful

I am not sure how much it will cost. I need to talk to beta testers about it. Somewhere between $40 to $80, I presume, but it's hard to say :)

Thanks!

Yes. The interface is designed in a vector image editing application, so I have all the graphics at different sizes, but I haven't written the code to use them yet. It's on my to-do list!

I liked the first 2 demos first too,
I have so many synths though,
can I play 15 of it at once?

It uses very little memory. Around ~20 MB for the first instance, and then ~5 MB for every additional instance. And it is optimized so that when an instance is not playing anything it uses barely any CPU at all (the reverb and delay effect units are automatically disabled and enabled as necessary). I am also continuing to work on reducing the CPU usage as I develop the synth. So yes, you should be able to load many instances at the same time.

Lovely GUI, loose wood panels. Sounds excellent. Keep up the good work

nice, I will keep checking on the progress :tu:

Sounds nice :) The idea and design are cool :tu: There is FM and sync, so it is a simple synth but not limited just to nice polite sounds.

If the CPU is low, it can be a nice "go to" synth for bread and butter and "foundation" sounds (Bass, Lead and Pads). I think a price with $50 up limit would be wise IMO.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Interesting! What form is this taking, and what OS'? IE. Will you be building VST, VST3, AAX? Support AU? Is this going to be a stand-alone synth, or plug-in? No libraries? So interesting, to see this taking form. I'm curious the software stack youre targeting..

Currently there is only support for Windows, because it's the only platform I can test on at the moment. However, if there are enough sales of the Windows version I will definitely add support for Mac.

The supported plugin formats are the native FL Studio SDK and the LV2 format. I am actively testing the LV2 format in VST hosts using lv2vst, and it runs without a problem. I am also interested in supporting the new "CLAP" API, once it's out of beta in Bitwig Studio.
