Where do you watch for used equipment

I know of reverb.com and of course ebay but where else do you go to monitor for used hardware? I'm looking around for used synths.

Craigslist is my go-to, but your success/access depends largely on where you live.

Gearspace has a pretty active classifieds section as well.

Within the last couple of years all the gear I liked skyrocketed to over-new prices

reverb is very high priced

I check the Guitar Center used section every now and again too in addition to the places already mentioned. I kind of liked the fact that you can buy a "warranty" for used synths there (though I've never had to avail myself of one yet so can't comment on how smoothly making a claim on said warranty actually works out) and also that it's relatively easy to take a synth back to your nearest location if there's something wrong with it or you just don't like it.

Have to say, though, I find myself looking at used gear less and less now since prices have been driven so high in the last two years. It's made me largely boycott these sellers who think they're sitting on a gold mine with everything they list and focus more attention on software again.

Interesting. I’ve been finding more awesome deals than I can keep up with lately. I’ve also found that many sellers are pretty willing to negotiate. Lots of people looking for trades too, more so than I’m used to seeing. Maybe it’s just in my local market?
