Is it still possible to buy Synapse Audio Orion if not new then on the marketplace? Are licence transfers allowed?

I believe Richard is still allowing license transfers but you're better off asking at the Synapse forum just to be sure.

But no, Orion can no longer be purchased new and development was stopped several years ago. Be aware that any issue you may encounter will not be addressed.

Orion very cool, I have an old 3.8 version that I use for rewire host as it is the most efficient (twice as) than all others...

All cool till version 8 then no rewire host, just slave....

I have some super old Orion files I'll probably try to dig up at some point. Can someone remind me, did the track file format have any option to embed audio?

Also, is there any reason why Orion wouldn't run on Windows 10?

no, it runs fine. you need the 64 bit version obviously, but i still use it here for midi stuff.

Can you remind me what the version history was, because in my account I have Platinum 6.2, Pro 7 and then just 'Orion' up to 7.5.
I have a vague memory of Platinum being phased out. Did Pro and standard get fused also/did Pro drop the Pro part of the name?

tbh, i don't remember the details like numbers, not at home now so can't check but i think it's 8.5?

but yeah, it just all became "orion" at some point.

Does anyone know how I can get a copy of Synapse Orion? I remember using this DAW like 20 years ago and it was so easy to use. Any help to locate any copy or version would be much appreciated!

I actually just managed to get a serial. Does anyone have some of the older versions of Orion prior to 8.02?
