I'm a bit annoyed.
I am going to buy hardware and I have an Arturia Audiofuse 2 (which I recommend as an excellent audio interface).
I had reserved an Rme Ucx 2, but the delivery time of months, so I have to find an effective and lasting solution.
I thought of two options.
A mixer, but not at all the same quality as an audio interface (2000 euros).
I had thought of taking a mixer and a Focusrite 18i20 3rd generation (6 machines to connect for the moment) in the meantime, but using the money for nothing since at some point I will have priced the Ucx 2.
The other option, if I have to pay the price for a good mixer (approximately 1000 euros), a 3rd generation Focusrite 18i20, knowing that it's not great for sound.
I said to myself, apparently within a good week, an expected arrival of Rme UFX 2 (2000 euros), wouldn't it be better to invest directly in the UFX 2?
Is there an audible difference, in quality, reliability between the UCX 2 and the UFX 2?
Thank you in advance for your answers and opinions.

I would look at a reliable interface like RME something with ADAT and get an Audient ASP 800 or ARP 880(compressor too).

Really nice rack of preamps. Same as they use in all their interfaces and big consoles too.
So a simple RME HDSP AIO and a rack of preamps is my suggestion. There are other rack preamps, but many like Focusrite offer just 55 dB gain and not sufficient for some mikes.
